The M.R. Residency project posed unique design challenges due to its setting within a dense neighborhood. Surrounded on three sides by neighboring houses and facing a narrow road, the facade required a careful balance to achieve both visibility and harmony within the confined space. To address this, the design focused on a single prominent feature: horizontal panels that were strategically repeated. This repetition not only provided a visually cohesive element but also guided the viewer’s gaze, helping the building stand out subtly in an otherwise cramped environment. This approach allowed the building to maintain a distinctive look while respecting the spatial constraints imposed by the site.
